2026 Acura Integra Gets Bold Color-Matched Grille

Acura Integra 2026: A Subtle Refresh with Some Notable Changes
The Acura Integra has long been seen as a premium version of the Honda Civic Si, and while that might not sound groundbreaking, it's actually a strong selling point. The Civic Si is known for being a sporty and reliable daily driver, and the Integra has always carried that legacy forward. In fact, earlier versions of the Integra were essentially rebranded Civics with added luxury and performance features. However, when we first drove the new Integra, we found it to be more fun than its spec sheet suggested, making it a standout in the compact sports car segment.
Now, after a few years on the market, Acura has given the Integra a refresh for the 2026 model year. While the changes are subtle, they’re still significant enough to make the car feel fresh and relevant.
New Paint Options and Grille Design
One of the most noticeable updates for 2026 is the addition of a color-matched grille on vehicles painted Double Apex Blue Pearl or Performance Red Pearl. This new feature adds a touch of cohesion to the design, especially for those who prefer a more unified aesthetic. It’s worth noting that Double Apex Blue Pearl is a new addition to the Integra lineup, borrowed from the ZDX Type S. Whether this new paint option doubles the number of apexes or just the blue pearl is unclear, but one thing is certain—there’s something being doubled here.
This change, however, has sparked some controversy among enthusiasts. Fortunately, Acura offers alternatives. If you're not a fan of the color-matched grille, you can opt for a gloss-black grille instead. For those who like the idea of a color-matched grille but prefer a more neutral palette, Acura also allows the feature on cars painted Platinum White Pearl or the new Urban Gray Pearl as an accessory. Additionally, a third new paint option called Solar Silver Metallic is available, though many would argue that the blue and red options are the only ones worth considering—after all, they’re real colors.
More Updates Beyond the Exterior
The 2026 Integra isn’t just getting a new look; there are several other improvements under the hood and inside the cabin. Acura has updated the body kit to improve aerodynamics, and the 18-inch black wheels have been redesigned for a more modern appearance. Inside, the A-Spec models now feature blue microsuede inserts if equipped with the Orchid interior, while yellow accents have been added to A-Specs with the Ebony interior. These small but meaningful details help elevate the overall driving experience.
Powertrain Remains Unchanged
Despite these updates, the powertrain remains the same as previous years. The turbocharged 1.5-liter inline-4 engine continues to deliver 200 horsepower and 192 pound-feet of torque. For those who prefer manual transmission, the six-speed manual is still available, which is a rare find in today’s market. Compared to competitors like the Audi A3, BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe, non-Blackwing Cadillac CT4, and Mercedes-Benz CLA, the Integra stands out for offering a manual option.
Improved Infotainment System
Another highlight of the 2026 model is the updated infotainment system. It now includes wireless support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, making it easier to connect your smartphone without the need for cables. Additionally, the standard screen size has increased from 7 inches to 9 inches, providing a larger and more immersive display. Acura claims the system is also faster, which should result in smoother performance and quicker response times.
Pricing and Final Thoughts
While Acura hasn’t officially announced pricing for the 2026 model, it’s expected to remain roughly the same as the 2025 model, which starts at $34,195 including destination. Whether this holds true will become clear once the car hits dealerships. For now, the refreshed Integra looks like a solid choice for those seeking a blend of style, performance, and practicality in a compact sports car.
