Nissan launches popular electric car for just £23k and could save £1,500 more within weeks
Nissan has unveiled the new sixth-generation variant of its popular Micra model, with drivers across the UK potentially saving thousands of pounds.
Motorists will be able to order a new Nissan Micra from September 1, 2025, and could benefit from the Government's new Electric Car Grant.
Prices of the 40kWh Engage model will start from just £22,995, with an electric battery range of 198 miles, making it perfect for the urban commute.
However, drivers could save a further £1,500 through the Electric Car Grant, although this is subject to confirmation by the Office of Zero Emission Vehicles.

This would bring the price of the Engage model down to just £21,495, as Nissan said it was "expecting" to have the Micra qualify for the new EV incentive.
Other models include the 40kWh Advanced version, which has seen an extra six miles added to the official range compared to the initial announcement.
For motorists looking for a longer battery range, they could opt for the 52kWh variant of the Advanced or Evolve Micra.
Both of these models have an expected average range of 260 miles, with the Advanced costing £26,955 and the Evolve setting drivers back £29,865.

Drivers could save a further £1,500 on the Micra once the Government confirms eligibility rules
As with the Engage variant, drivers could also save £1,500 off the price of the new electric car once the Government confirms the eligibility of the vehicles.
James Taylor, managing director of Nissan GB, said: "Micra is the first of four new fully electric models to arrive on the Nissan lineup and we are incredibly excited to be pricing it so competitively.
"Micra is a key strategic model for Nissan, and based on the positive reviews, exciting design, attractive price and a class-leading product, I am looking forward to seeing lots of new Micras on the road soon."
The previous generations of Micra have helped the Nissan model become one of the most popular among the ranks of the Japanese brand.
