Lucid Air and Gravity Charge at Tesla Superchargers Now

Lucid Owners Gain Access to Tesla Superchargers
Lucid has been actively rolling out software updates for its vehicles, and there are more exciting changes coming before the end of July. In an announcement detailing new features for the 2026 Lucid Air luxury electric sedan, it was revealed that both the Air and the Gravity electric SUV will soon have access to the Tesla Supercharger network. This development is a significant step forward for Lucid owners who want to take advantage of one of the most extensive fast-charging networks available.
The way this integration works depends on the specific vehicle model. The Lucid Air still uses a J1772-CCS combo charge port design, which means it will require a $220 Lucid-approved adapter to connect to Tesla’s Superchargers. However, this comes with a limitation: when using the adapter, the Air will be restricted to a 50-kW charge rate, resulting in longer charging times compared to non-Tesla chargers. On the other hand, the Gravity SUV is equipped with a NACS-style charge port that Tesla uses, so it won’t need an adapter and can fully utilize the Superchargers’ high speeds. Lucid owners who wish to use Tesla Superchargers can do so through the Lucid App by saving a credit card to their Lucid Wallet.
Improved Charging Options for All Models
In addition to the Tesla Supercharger access, there is more good news for both the Air and the Gravity models. The Lucid Mobile Charging Cable Kit will now be standard on all models. This 40-amp capable charging cable can connect to a 240-volt NEMA 14-50 outlet, commonly used for dryers, allowing for up to 9.6-kW charging. For situations where a NEMA 14-50 outlet isn't available, an optional NEMA 5-15 adapter is provided for 120-volt, 12-amp charging, which offers around a 1.4-kW charge rate.
Enhanced Performance and Features for the 2026 Lucid Air
The 2026 Lucid Air lineup brings several improvements, starting with the Touring trim. This model gains a six percent increase in driving range on the EPA cycle, thanks to new high-density battery cells that also allow for 250 kW charging. With these upgrades, drivers can expect to travel up to 431 miles before needing a recharge, significantly reducing downtime. The rest of the Air lineup maintains its 512-mile range, including the Air Grand Touring trim.
The 2026 Air Pure also receives some notable interior upgrades. It now features a Mojave PurLuxe interior, with either standard 12-way powered and heated front seats or an option for 20-way powered, heated, and ventilated front seats with a massage function. These seats are complemented by a rear center console display and storage bin, which are now standard in the optional Comfort and Convenience package. Additionally, the Air Pure comes standard with DreamDrive Premium, offering adaptive cruise control and other advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) features, though it doesn’t include the full SAE Level 2 system found in DreamDrive Pro.
New Wheel Options and Upgrades
The Air Touring trim also gets new standard 19-inch Aero Range wheels, with optional Aeronaut wheels in the same size, wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero all-season tires. Drivers can also choose a 20-inch Areo Lite wheel, which comes equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport performance tires. The 2026 Air Grand Touring model includes 20-way powered memory front seats as standard, featuring heating, ventilation, and massage functions.
